INDIANAPOLIS – Hendricks County Auditor Nancy Marsh was elected President of the Association of Indiana Counties (AIC) Board of Directors. She began her term on November 1, 2023. Board elections were held during the AIC’s 65th Annual Conference in Orange County. “It is a privilege and honor to serve as President of the Association of Indiana Counties,” said Marsh. “AIC support has been invaluable to counties as we navigated the pandemic, the American Rescue Plan Act Funding, and the Opioid Settlement along with the countless other duties the counties face daily. It is hard to imagine not having such a wonderful support system.” Nancy Marsh has been a Hendricks County employee since 1994. Serving in her 4th term as Hendricks County Auditor and the former Hendricks County Treasurer, Nancy has focused on policies to better serve the citizens by making improvements to Hendricks County government. Marsh has been involved in the Indiana Treasurer’s Association, the Indiana Auditor’s Association, President, and Vice President of the West Central District for the AIC, serves on the AIC Legislative Committee, and the 2012 Arthur R Himsel Award recipient. Nancy Marsh is married to Wayne Marsh, and they have two daughters, three granddaughters, and a grandson. The AIC Board of Directors sets policies and legislative goals for the association. The Association of Indiana Counties, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that was established in 1957 for the betterment of county government. The various functions of the AIC include lobbying the Indiana General Assembly on behalf of counties, serving as liaison among counties, state and federal agencies as well as providing technical assistance and training to county officials and employees.
