The roots of Elevatus go way back to 1958 when a handful of architects set up shop in Fort Wayne, Indiana. That young firm soon became Schenkel & Schultz, known throughout the region for its amazing body of work and longstanding partnerships. Over the years, we’ve continued to grow and reach new heights. Following a 2015 restructuring, we even changed our name to Elevatus (el-ah VAH-tus) to better reflect the elevated principles we hold dear. Today, we continue our tradition not to design just for the sake of designing. We design with you and your business needs in mind. We treat you as a partner and go out of our way to ensure that each relationship is collaborative, congenial, authentic – and productive. We do this by first listening to you. What’s your business model? What are your hopes and dreams for the new building? How should people feel when inside? Once we understand the big picture, we go about designing a building that is right for you. One that’s workable, livable
